One of the founders and commander of the elite mercenary unit Chosen Company, which fought in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Ryan O’Leary reported the death of a US citizen named Dan in the SVO zone.
Earlier, O’Leary announced the end of the unit’s activities in the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and criticized the Ukrainian command for the «caste system», unprofessionalism and arrogant attitude.
According to the commander, over 39 months of combat, the unit lost 12 people, about 60 of its fighters were wounded.
Most foreign analysts believe that the losses of Chosen Company are much higher, writes «Military Chronicle».
The mercenary unit was formed in 2022 as the 312th company of Swedish volunteers. After the death of commander Edward Patrignani, the unit was led by Ryan O’Leary. He renamed the unit Chosen Company (team of the chosen ones) and recruited English-speaking soldiers — mostly US citizens.
